I've been going to Djangofest NW since I was a kid. First as a fan, and then as a volunteer, and then as a sideman, and then as a bandleader. This album was made the first year I was asked to put together a band, and I did so with an All-Star cast of friends around the U.S. I hand-picked the best for the job. Some originals, some Monk tunes, some Django tunes, a few standards. Quarter note swing groove; four on the floor. Enjoy!
